CHLORINE GRANULES FOR HOT TUBS AND SPAS:

The initial dose for a freshly filled spa or hot tub is to add 6 teaspoons of this product for every 500 gallons of water. Each level teaspoon (0.17 ounces) of this product will provide approximately 1.4 ppm of available chlorine in 500 gallons of water. The product dissolves quickly and completely, effectively controlling algae and killing bacteria.

To ensure proper spa and hot tub operation, it is recommended to test and adjust the water frequently using an appropriate test kit. The ideal water conditions are: - pH: 7.2-7.8 - Total alkalinity: 60-100 ppm - Calcium hardness: minimum 200 ppm

These values should be maintained through regular testing and adjustments. It is also important to not allow the cyanuric acid level to exceed 150 ppm.

It is recommended to drain and refill the spa or hot tub every 30-90 days, or more often under heavy use. Consult the manufacturer's recommendations regarding the compatibility of chlorine sanitizers with their equipment, as some oils, lotions, fragrances, and cleaners may cause foaming, cloudiness, or react with the chlorine sanitizers, reducing their effectiveness.

For start-up of a freshly filled spa or hot tub: 1. Turn on the circulation system and ensure it is working properly. 2. Add 6 teaspoons of this product for each 500 gallons of water. Check the free available chlorine (FAC) and, if below 4-5 ppm, repeat the dosage as needed. 3. Re-entry into the treated spa or hot tub is prohibited if the chlorine level exceeds 3 ppm.
